Well I had my first con experience this weekend and I have to say that now I can understand why people become so addicted to these events! It was like a weekend long party with hundreds of friends I didn't know I had in celebration of entertainment that we all love.

I will certainly prepare and have an artist alley table next year.

Strangely enough, I also felt motivation to not only work on cosplay but work on getting into decent shape for the character I want to do. Creative and health motivation? What a great going home present!

I went with my friends, two of which dressed up in Sango and Miroku cosplay and it was so so much fun working on their costumes with them! It's been so long since I've sewn or worked on patterns and such, I had forgotten how fun it is to turn pieces of fabric into parts of a character that you love and relate to, even if the costumes weren't for me.

I got to do a last minuet cosplay as Cheese-koon and running around in a costume where no one can see my face was fun! I got to dance and act stupid and made a lot of people smile, but when I walked around as myself and no one noticed me or smiled, it was a little sad. It was great motivation to stay in that really hot costume. Regardless, with this con, and also with my current acting class back here at school, I've found that I really enjoy performing as much as I do creating. I really wanna prepare all year long for the next Tsubasacon to not just have a cosplay prepared but BE that character all con long just like I had with Cheese-Koon perhaps complete with an incharacter kareoke choice and skit. Performance and media creation is my major afterall, I might as well use it for an event I love.

So, I need to buy a sewing machine. XD Perhaps for Christmas..
