KH-KP: New Alliances

Well, this came about while I was playing Kingdom Hearts. I was fighting in the Hades cup and that little cinema before hades walks out into the ring, well it suddenly hit me...Shego and Hades have simular speech patterns.

Now imagine for a moment, the two of them having a conversation. I get the giggles just imagining it. What's more funny was as I was inking it I came upon the realization that Hades is blue. Pretty dence right? Well in coloring the base color I used him just happened to be the same skin color for Drakken.

And don't think I didn't try my hardest to get Hades in that Disney Style...I did. And I know there's tiny little errors here and there, but for the most part I was without refrence (Had I had my KH strat guide or something from the Hercules movie with me Pain and Panic would be there too.)
And I try hard to get the Kim Possible style, but that too seems to allude me. n.n

Oh! And a new coloring tech!
First, I colored the inked lines.
(Line art over a blank layer, line art set on screen so the black becomes transperent. Color under the line art layer then when you're done merge the two together.)
Second, I forgot those burn and dodge tools I love so much and did all lighting and shading via airbrush set on 9% opt. The trick to the colored lighting, I've found, is to tint not only your highlights but the shadows as well! (I never knew that!)
Finally, I went back to the line art layer and blured any lines that weren't outlining that area, like the creases in Hade's toga, the lines on his face, things like that. Softning those little things, and the fact the lines are colored helped them blend in muuuch better. Almost like lineless.
